Ward 7 is where Oakville's future is being built. The question is not whether we grow. It is whether roads, schools, water, and services arrive with the people we approve.
The proposed Westerkirk development at 340 Burnhamthorpe Rd E and 3437 Trafalgar Rd is 6,420 residential units, with buildings up to 30 storeys. Other large projects sit on top of that.
I'm not against density. I'm against growth without proper planning.
What I’ll do
If elected, I will push Council to require a real infrastructure plan before saying yes to major development, not simply approve growth and hope the infrastructure catches up later.
I'll take that same fight to the Region, because many of the decisions that shape our roads, healthcare, schools, and other critical infrastructure are made at the regional level.
