Before major development proceeds, Council should show residents the capacity for transportation, transit, schools, parks, recreation, water, wastewater, pedestrian infrastructure, and emergency services, and when each piece arrives.
What I’ll do
If elected, I will push Council to require a real infrastructure plan before saying yes to major development, not simply approve growth and hope the infrastructure catches up later.
I'll take that same fight to the Region, because many of the decisions that shape our roads, healthcare, schools, and other critical infrastructure are made at the regional level.
